Do you ship once I place an order?
Yes, we do ship once an order is placed. All orders are processed within 1-2 business day upon confirmation of cleared payment. Orders are then shipped according to your shipping preference. We will contact you and give you the estimated ship date if your order is out of stock.

What is Cuticle hair?
Cuticle hair is referred to hair that has the cuticle intact! The cuticle provides a natural luster and sheen to the hair. It is what prevents the hair from tangling.

What is the difference between Indian, Brazilian and Mongolian hair?
Indian hair is similar to some Brazilian hair. The major difference is that Brazilian hair comes in more variety of texture and has lighter colors. Indian hair generally has a smaller diameter hence finer than Mongolian hair. Brazilian hair comes in so many textures, from fine to course hair. The Mongolian hair is a cross between the Chinese and Indian hair.

What is virgin hair?
The term virgin is used to describe hair that has never been tampered with chemically i.e perms, dye or bleach. Virgin hair is also cuticle hair because the cuticle is left intact. It is human hair in the same condition as it grew from the scalp. .ONYC Virgin Hair is the ultimate hair for softness, luster and durability There are a full selection of textures available with Indian and Brazilian Virgin Hair. What does the term "bulk" or "wefted" hair means?
Bulk hair is a bundle of loose hair used for braiding, fusion and many other hair Extension styles. Weft hair is hair used for weaving. It is sewn or bonded onto a track during the weaving process.

What is the difference between Hand tied and Machine weft?
Hand tied wefts are made by hand! They are much thinner than machine wefts. ONYC hand tied wefts are micro hand tied weft Micro hand tied weft are much thinner than regular Hand tied weft. They will lay flat against your scalp to give you a more natural look and significantly reduce hair bumps caused by bulky wefts. When applied by a skilled stylist, hand tied weft allow for a natural looking, bulk-free undetectable weave. The hand tied wefts must be reinforced right where you want to cut before cutting. Nail glue or super glue works great. Machine wefts are done by machine and have a thicker weft. They do not need to be reinforced or secured before cutting. Our Machine wefts are equally thinner and flatter than regular machine wefts hence lay flat on the scalp also. Machine wefts are made by sewing strands of hair together with a hair weft machine.

What is the difference between Single drawn and Double drawn hair?
Single drawn hair is ponytail hair cut from one donor. Therefore, there are a few natural shorter strands within a bundle of hair. The very short hairs have been removed. That’s why the hair may be sold 16” to 18” This means, the hair is not equal length, most of the hair is 16-18 inches.
Double drawn hair is equal length.

How long does it last?
Our hair can last for a very long time depending on how you take care of it. It willl hold up to repeated installations Take very good care of it just like your natural hair.

How is the length of the hair measured?
The hair is measured by pulling the hair straight.

How Much Hair Do I need?
It depends on the style and density you want. In general 4oz is enough for volume and up to 2” length increase. For full weave, you need 6-8oz and for full head weave with none of your hair out, you need 8-10oz. You will need 8-10oz for braiding and 4-6oz for fusion. Some will need more some will need less. Please keep in mind that the longer the length the less volume there is so you should buy accordingly.

Can I color or perm ONYC hair?
Yes, you can color our virgin hair! Though we recommend doing it professionally. Generally it is advised to make any major color or perm changes before installment. This is because the hair might have slightly different texture or porosity compared to your natural hair.
We recommend two levels lighter for our Mongolian relax Perm; you can go up to 3-4 levels if only you’re creating a highlight. This is to avoid excessive dryness.
For our Remy Hair, we recommend deposit color only i.e going darker than the original color but not lighter as it requires lifting color, which is not good because the hair is already treated.

Will the hair look exactly like the hair in the picture?
There might be slight variations in color and texture between the hair you receive and the photo on our site, especially with our virgin hair because they each are from a different donor That is part of the fun of buying and wearing quality virgin hair. It is as unique as you are! The picture is to give an idea of texture and color For our Mongolian cuticle relaxed perm, you can order our color ring to make sure you get almost exact color.

What type of hair care products should I use?
Moisture is the most important thing. Please do not use products for oily hair or strippers that take out chlorine or product build up. These leave the hair dry. Use styling products that are zero or low alcohol. Products for dry hair are the best. Leave-in conditioners in liquid forms and serums are wonderful for the ends. Oily products and pomades are not recommended as they weigh the hair down and make it too lumpy. Little bit of scalp oil can be used once in a while on your scalp if you have dry scalp but not on the extension.

Can I swim or go in the ocean?
You may go swimming. It is best to wash hair right after swimming. Avoid getting hair in salt water as the salt can take all the moisture out of the hair and it will tangle. Braid your hair very tightly if you are going in salt water. Wash and condition with moisturizing shampoo and conditioner immediately after swimming.
