My leave-out finally disappeared
I finally tried ONYC after hearing about the Kinky Curly texture from a friend. I have 3C hair and usually spend too much time trying to make my leave-out agree with curly extensions. With this install, a little water and leave-in was enough. The texture sat beside my own curls naturally, and I did not have to twist or heat-style my hair just to make the blend work.
A repeat-worthy purchase
I have bought enough hair online over the years to know pretty quickly when something is only going to look good for the first install and then start giving me problems. This ONYC Hair hair did not feel like that at all. From the beginning, the virgin hair had a very natural appearance, and once it was installed, it blended beautifully without looking overly processed or artificial.
What impressed me most was how well the hair held up after washing and styling. I deep conditioned it, blow-dried it, and continued wearing it without noticing that dry, rough feeling that some extensions develop after a few washes. It stayed soft and manageable, and I did not have to spend a lot of time fighting tangles or dealing with excessive shedding every time I brushed through it.
I also really appreciated that the texture stayed consistent. The kinky straight pattern still looked textured, full, and realistic instead of becoming flat, overly silky, or lifeless after styling. It continued to have that natural blown-out appearance that made me choose kinky straight hair in the first place.
For me, the biggest difference is how dependable it feels. I do not want hair that only looks beautiful when it first comes out of the package. I want something I can wash, condition, restyle, and wear again without wondering if the quality is going to completely change. So far, this hair has given me that consistency, and that is exactly why I would feel comfortable purchasing it again for repeat wear.
The curl came right back
Co-wash, air dry, done. The curl retention was good for me. I prefer a little natural variation in curly hair, and that showed more once the bundles were washed and separated. The bundle felt substantial in my hands, but once installed it did not feel as bulky as I expected. I went into the install expecting something very glamorous, but I was surprised that it could also be worn in a softer everyday way.
Years are believable now
I used to roll my eyes when people said extension hair could last for years because most of what I had bought never made it anywhere close. After taking care of this ONYC set properly and watching it survive install after install, I understand the claim differently. It is not a promise that you can neglect the hair and expect it to stay perfect. I wash it, deep condition it, detangle gently, trim when needed, and store it dry. Because the rawvirgin hair itself is good quality, those habits actually preserve it. The curls continue to return after washing, the strands stay soft enough to handle, and the bottom still has enough fullness that I am comfortable wearing it down. I have had this set long enough that I stopped thinking of it as disposable hair. With consistent care, I can realistically see myself keeping and reusing it for years instead of starting over every season.
4A front, 3C back
My own head has more than one pattern, so I stopped looking for a perfect label. This hair works because it sits comfortably between sections. The tighter front of my hair blends once defined, and the looser back disappears into the 3B-3C texture with almost no effort.
